31 Wherefore I say

unto you,

All manner of sin

and blasphemy

shall be forgiven

unto men:

but the blasphemy

against the Holy Ghost

shall not be forgiven

unto men.

32 And whosoever speaketh

a word

against the Son

of man,

it shall be forgiven him:

but whosoever speaketh

against the Holy Ghost,

it shall not be forgiven him,

in this world,

in the world

to come.

Matthew 12:31-32 (King James Version)

Has the importance of those verses sunk in yet?

What is the Holy Spirit?

Who is the Holy Spirit?

Why must we revere the Holy Spirit?

Let Scripture tell you more.

God put His spirit in us.

27 And I will put

my spirit

within you,

and cause you

to walk

in my statutes,

and ye shall keep

my judgments,

and do them.

Ezekiel 36:27 (King James Version)

The Spirit dwells in us.

17 Even the Spirit of truth;

whom the world

cannot receive,

because it seeth him not,

neither knoweth him:

but ye know him;

for he dwelleth

with you,

and shall be

in you.

John 14:17 (King James Version)

Our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit.

19 What?

know ye not

that your body

is the temple

of the Holy Ghost

which is in you,

which ye have

of God,

and ye are

not your own?

1 Corinthians 6:19 (King James Version)

The Spirit and the flesh are contrary to one another.

16 This I say then,

in the Spirit,

and ye shall

not fulfil

the lust

of the flesh.

17 For the flesh lusteth

against the Spirit,

and the Spirit

against the flesh:

and these are contrary

the one

to the other:

so that ye

cannot do

the things

that ye would.

18 But if ye

be led

of the Spirit,

ye are not under

the law.

Galatians 5:16-18 (King James Version)

The SPIRIT of GOD raised JESUS from the dead.

11 But if the Spirit

of him

that raised up Jesus

from the dead

dwell in you,

he that raised up Christ

from the dead

shall also quicken

your mortal bodies

by his Spirit

that dwelleth

in you.

Romans 8:11 (King James Version)

God gave us the Comforter.

16 And I will pray the Father,

and he shall give you

another Comforter,

that he may abide

with you

for ever;

John 14:16 (King James Version)

The Holy Spirit is the teacher of all things.

26 But the Comforter,

which is the Holy Ghost,

whom the Father

will send

in my name,

he shall teach you

all things,

and bring all things

to your remembrance,

I have said

unto you.

John 14:26 (King James Version)

The Nature of the Holy Spirit is TRUTH.

13 Howbeit when he,

the Spirit of truth,

is come,

he will guide you

into all truth:

for he shall

not speak

of himself;

but whatsoever

he shall hear,

that shall he speak:

and he will shew you

things to come.

14 He shall glorify me:

for he shall receive

of mine,

and shall shew it

unto you.

John 16:13-14 (King James Version)

Spirit "searcheth all the deep things of God".

10 But God hath

revealed them

unto us

by his Spirit:

for the Spirit searcheth

all things, yea,

the deep things

of God.

11 For what man knoweth

the things

of a man,

save the spirit

of man

which is in him?

even so

the things of God

knoweth no man,

but the Spirit

of God.

12 Now we have received,

not the spirit

of the world,

but the spirit

which is of God;

that we might know

the things

that are freely given

to us

of God.

13 Which things also we speak,

not in the words

which man's wisdom teacheth,

but which

the Holy Ghost teacheth;

comparing spiritual things

with spiritual.

14 But the natural man

receiveth not

the things

of the Spirit

of God:

for they are foolishness

unto him:

neither can he know them,

they are spiritually discerned.

15 But he that is spiritual

judgeth all things,

yet he himself

is judged

of no man.

16 For who hath known

the mind

of the Lord,

that he may instruct him?

but we have

the mind

of Christ.

1 Corinthians 2:10-16 (King James Version)

Jesus anointed us with the Holy Spirit.

27 But the anointing

which ye have received

of him

abideth in you,

and ye need not

that any man

teach you:

but as the same anointing

teacheth you

of all things,

and is truth,

and is no lie,

and even as it hath taught you,

ye shall abide

in him.
