The ONLY Power is of GOD

13 Let every soul

be subject unto

the higher powers.

For there

is no power

but of God

the powers that be

are ordained

of God.

Romans 13:1 (King James Version)

The earth is rightfully God's.

In fact, EVERYTHING belongs to the Creator.

Scripture testifies of that.

1 In the beginning

God created

the heaven

and the earth.

Genesis 1:1 (King James Version)

9 Who knoweth not

in all these

that the hand

of the Lord

hath wrought this?

10 In whose hand

is the soul

of every living thing,

and the breath

of all mankind.

Job 12:9-10 (King James Version)

12 With the ancient

is wisdom;

 and in length of days

understanding.

13 With him

is wisdom

and strength,

he hath counsel

and understanding.

14 Behold,

he breaketh down,

and it cannot be built again:

he shutteth up a man,

and there can be no opening.

15 Behold,

he withholdeth the waters,

and they dry up:

also he sendeth them out,

and they overturn

the earth.

16 With him

is strength

and wisdom:

the deceived

and the deceiver

are his.

17 He leadeth counsellors away

spoiled,

and maketh the judges

fools.

18 He looseth the bond

of kings,

and girdeth their loins

with a girdle.

19 He leadeth princes away

spoiled,

and overthroweth

the mighty.

20 He removeth away

the speech

of the trusty,

and taketh away

the understanding

of the aged.

21 He poureth contempt

upon princes,

and weakeneth

the strength

of the mighty.

22 He discovereth

deep things

out of darkness

and bringeth out to light

the shadow

of death.

23 He increaseth

the nations,

and destroyeth them:

he enlargeth the nations,

and straiteneth them

again.

24 He taketh away

the heart

of the chief

of the people

of the earth,

and causeth them

to wander

in a wilderness

where there is

no way.

25 They grope

in the dark

without light,

and he maketh them

to stagger

like a drunken man.

Job 12:12-25 (King James Version)

21 The king's heart

is in the hand

of the Lord

as the rivers

of water:

he turneth it

whithersoever he will.

Proverbs 21:1 (King James Version)

27 For the Lord of hosts

hath purposed,

and who shall disannul it?

and his hand

is stretched out,

and who shall turn it back?

Isaiah 14:27 (King James Version)

21 Have ye not known?

have ye not heard?

hath it not been told you

from the beginning?

have ye not understood

from the foundations

of the earth?

22 It is he

that sitteth

upon the circle

of the earth

and the inhabitants thereof

are as grasshoppers;

that stretcheth out

the heavens

as a curtain,

and spreadeth them out

as a tent

to dwell in:

23 That bringeth

the princes

to nothing;

he maketh the judges

of the earth

as vanity.

24 Yea, they shall

not be planted;

yea, they shall

not be sown:

yea, their stock shall

not take root

in the earth:

and he shall also

blow upon them,

and they shall wither

and the whirlwind

shall take them away

as stubble.

Isaiah 40:21-24 (King James Version)

15 Behold,

the nations

are as a drop

of a bucket

and are counted

as the small dust

of the balance:

behold,

he taketh up the isles

as a very little thing.

Isaiah 40:15 (King James Version)

17 All nations before him

are as nothing

and they are counted to him

less than nothing,

and vanity.

Isaiah 40:17 (King James Version)

3 How great

are his signs!

and how mighty

are his wonders!

his kingdom

is an everlasting kingdom,

and his dominion

is from generation

to generation.

Daniel 4:3 (King James Version)

17 This matter

is by the decree

of the watchers,

and the demand

by the word

of the holy ones:

to the intent

that the living

may know

that the most High

ruleth

in the kingdom

of men,

and giveth it

to whomsoever

he will

and setteth up

over it

the basest

of men.

Daniel 4:17 (King James Version)

18 O thou king,

the most high God

gave Nebuchadnezzar

thy father

a kingdom,

and majesty,

and glory,

and honour:

19 And for the majesty

that he gave him,

all people,

nations,

and languages,

trembled

and feared

before him:

whom he would

he slew;

and whom he would

he kept alive;

and whom he would

he set up;

and whom he would

he put down.

20 But when his heart

was lifted up,

and his mind hardened

in pride,

he was deposed

from his kingly throne,

and they took his glory

from him:

21 And he was driven

from the sons

of men;

and his heart was made

like the beasts,

and his dwelling

was with the wild asses:

they fed him with grass

like oxen,

and his body

was wet

with the dew

of heaven;

till he knew

that the most high God

ruled in the kingdom

of men,

and that he appointeth

over it

whomsoever he will.

Daniel 5:18-21 (King James Version)

28 For the kingdom

is the Lord's:

and he

is the governor

among

the nations.

Psalm 22:28 (King James Version)

24 The earth is the Lord's,

and the fulness thereof;

the world,

and they

that dwell

therein.

Psalm 24:1 (King James Version)

21 There are many devices

in a man's heart;

nevertheless

the counsel of the Lord,

that shall stand.

Proverbs 19:21 (King James Version)

18 And Jesus came

and spake unto them, saying,

All power

is given

unto me

in heaven

and in earth.

Matthew 28:18 (King James Version)

14 If my people,

which are called

by my name,

shall humble themselves,

and pray,

and seek

my face,

and turn from

their wicked ways;

then will I hear

from heaven,

and will forgive

their sin,

and will heal

their land.

2 Chronicles 7:14 (King James Version)

19 And what is

the exceeding greatness

of his power

to us-ward

who believe,

according

to the working

of his mighty power,

20 Which he wrought

in Christ,

when he raised him

from the dead,

and set him

at his own right hand

in the heavenly places,

21 Far above all principality,

and power,

 and might,

and dominion,

and every name

that is named,

not only in this world,

but also in that

which is to come:

22 And hath put

all things

under his feet,

and gave him

to be the head

over all things

to the church,

23 Which is his body,

the fulness of him

that filleth all

in all.

Ephesians 1:19-23 (King James Version)

God's LOVE and FAITHFULNESS

24 Faithful is he

that calleth you,

who also will do it.

1 Thessalonians 5:24 (King James Version)

Find strength, courage, stability, and inspiration from the LOVE and FAITHFULNESS of the LORD, despite our many failings.

Let the verses speak for themselves.

19 God is not a man,

that he should lie

neither the son of man,

that he should repent:

hath he said,

and shall he not do it?

or hath he spoken,

and shall he

not make it good?

Numbers 23:19 (King James Version)

35 Heaven and earth

shall pass away,

but my words

shall not pass away.

5 And from Jesus Christ,

who is the faithful witness

and the first begotten

of the dead,

that loved us,

from our sins

in his own blood,

and abundant

in goodness

and truth,

Exodus 34:6 (King James Version)

9 Know therefore

with them

that love him

and keep

his commandments

to a thousand generations;

Deuteronomy 7:9 (King James Version)

6 Be strong

and of a good courage,

fear not,

nor be afraid of them:

for the Lord

thy God,

he it is

that doth go

with thee;

he will not fail thee,

nor forsake thee.

Deuteronomy 31:6 (King James Version)

22 It is of the Lord's mercies

that we

are not consumed,

because his compassions

25 O Lord,

thou art my God;

I will exalt thee,

I will praise

thy name;

for thou

hast done

wonderful things;

thy counsels of old

are faithfulness

and truth.

Isaiah 25:1 (King James Version)

7 Thus saith the Lord,

the Redeemer

of Israel,

and his Holy One,

to him

whom man despiseth,

to him

whom the nation abhorreth,

to a servant

Kings shall see

and arise,

shall choose thee.

but that all

should come

to repentance.

2 Peter 3:9 (King James Version)

The MIGHT, POWER, and GLORY of GOD

I will not be able to describe to you the MIGHT, POWER, and GLORY of GOD, but these BIBLE verses could!

1 In the beginning

God created

the heaven

and the earth.

Genesis 1:1 (King James Version)

17 For the Lord

your God

is God

of gods,

and Lord

of lords,

a great God

a mighty,

and a terrible,

which

regardeth not persons,

nor taketh reward:

Deuteronomy 10:17 (King James Version)

6 For unto us

a child

is born,

unto us

a son

is given:

and the government

shall be

upon his shoulder:

and his name

shall be called

Wonderful,

Counsellor,

The mighty God,

The everlasting Father,

The Prince of Peace.

7 Of the increase

of his government

and peace

there shall be

no end,

upon the throne

of David,

and upon

his kingdom,

to order it,

and to establish it

with judgment

and with justice

from henceforth

even

for ever.

The zeal

of the Lord

of hosts

will perform

this.

Isaiah 9:6-7 (King James Version)

47 The king answered unto Daniel,

and said,

Of a truth

it is,

that your God

is a God

of gods,

and a Lord

of kings,

and a revealer

of secrets

seeing thou

couldest reveal

this secret.

Daniel 2:47 (King James Version)

13 I saw

in the night visions,

and, behold,

one like the Son

of man

came

with the clouds

of heaven

and came

to the Ancient

of days,

and they

brought him near

before him.

14 And there

was given him

dominion,

and glory,

and a kingdom,

that all people,

nations,

and languages,

should serve him:

his dominion is

an everlasting dominion,

which

shall not pass away,

and his kingdom that

which shall

not be destroyed.

Daniel 7:13-14 (King James Version)

3 Who

being the brightness

of his glory,

and the express image

of his person,

and upholding

all things

by the word

of his power

when he had

by himself

purged our sins,

sat down

on the right hand

of the Majesty

on high:

4 Being made

so much better

than the angels

as he hath

by inheritance

obtained

a more excellent name

than they.

Hebrews 1:3-4 (King James Version)

29 Jesus answered

and said

unto them,

Ye do err,

not knowing

the scriptures,

nor the power

of God.

Matthew 22:29 (King James Version)

14 And the Word

was made flesh,

and dwelt

among us

(and we beheld

his glory,

the glory

as of the only

begotten

of the Father,)

full of grace

and truth.

John 1:14 (King James Version)

30 And then

shall appear

the sign

of the Son

of man

in heaven:

and then

shall all

the tribes

of the earth

mourn,

and they

shall see

the Son

of man

coming

in the clouds

of heaven

with power

and great glory.

Matthew 24:30 (King James Version)

7 Behold,

he cometh

with clouds;

and every eye

shall see him

and they also

which pierced him:

and all kindreds

of the earth

shall wail

because of him.

Even so,

Amen.

Revelation 1:7 (King James Version)

8 And the four beasts

had each of them

six wings

about him;

and they were full

of eyes

within:

and they rest not

day

and night,

saying,

Holy,

holy,

holy,

Lord God

Almighty,

which was,

and is,

and is to come.

Revelation 4:8 (King James Version)

14 These

shall make war

with the Lamb,

and the Lamb

shall overcome them:

for he is Lord

of lords,

and King

of kings

and they

that are with him

are called,

and chosen,

and faithful.

Revelation 17:14 (King James Version)

11 And I saw heaven

opened,

and behold

a white horse;

and he

that sat upon him

was called Faithful

and True

and in righteousness

he doth judge

and make war.

12 His eyes were

as a flame of fire,

and on his head

were many crowns

and he had a name

written,

that no man knew,

but he

himself.

13 And he was clothed

with a vesture

dipped in blood:

and his name

is called

The Word

of God.

Revelation 19:11-13 (King James Version)

10 And he

carried me away

in the spirit

to a great

and high mountain,

and shewed me

that great city,

the holy Jerusalem

descending

out of heaven

from God,

11 Having the glory

of God

and her light

was like

unto a stone

most precious,

even like a jasper stone,

clear

as crystal;

Revelation 21:10-11 (King James Version)

23 And the city

had no need

of the sun,

neither

of the moon,

to shine in it:

for the glory

of God

did lighten it

and the Lamb

is the light

thereof.

Revelation 21:23 (King James Version)

23 For all

have sinned,

and come short

of the glory

of God;

Romans 3:23 (King James Version)

5 This then

is the message

which we

have heard

of him,

and declare

unto you,

that God

is light,

and in him

is no darkness

at all.

1 John 1:5 (King James Version)

16 Cease not

to give thanks

for you,

making mention

of you

in my prayers;

17 That the God

of our Lord

Jesus Christ,

the Father

of glory

may give

unto you

the spirit

of wisdom

and revelation

in the knowledge

of him:

18 The eyes

of your understanding

being enlightened;

that ye

may know

what is the hope

of his calling,

and what the riches

of the glory

of his inheritance

in the saints,

19 And what is

the exceeding greatness

of his power

to us-ward who believe,

according

to the working

of his mighty power,

20 Which he wrought

in Christ,

when he raised him

from the dead

and set him

at his own right hand

in the heavenly places,

21 Far

above all principality,

and power,

and might,

and dominion,

 and every name

that is named

not only in this world,

but also in that

which is to come:

22 And hath put

all things

under his feet

and gave him

to be the head

over all things

to the church,

23 Which is his body,

the fulness of him

that filleth

all in all.

Ephesians 1:16-23 (King James Version)

8 But, beloved,

be not ignorant

of this one thing,

that one day is with the Lord

as a thousand years,

and a thousand years

as one day.

2 Peter 3:8 (King James Version)

11 Thine,

O Lord

is the greatness,

and the power,

and the glory,

and the victory,

and the majesty:

for all

that is

in the heaven and

in the earth

is thine

thine

is the kingdom,

O Lord,

and thou

art exalted

as head

above all.

1 Chronicles 29:11 (King James Version)

2 I know

that thou canst do

every thing

and that no thought

can be withholden

from thee.

Job 42:2 (King James Version)

6 And said,

O Lord God

of our fathers,

art not thou God

in heaven?

and rulest not thou

over all the kingdoms

of the heathen?

and in thine hand

is there not power

and might,

so that none is able

to withstand thee?

2 Chronicles 20:6 (King James Version)
