Bible DISCOVERY 22: GOD spares NO one

1 Peter 1:10

King James Version

10 Of which salvation the prophets have enquired

and searched diligently,

who prophesied of the grace

that should come unto you:

GOD doesn't play favorites.

All are according to His GRACE and MERCY.

Scripture testifies of it.

Here's proof.

GOD did not spare His SON, JESUS.

Romans 8:32

King James Version

32 He that spared not his own Son

but delivered him up for us all,

how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

GOD did not spare His chosen nation, ISRAEL.

Romans 11:21

King James Version

21 For if God spared not the natural branches

take heed lest he also spare not thee.

GOD did not spare His CREATION, save Noah and family.

Genesis 7:21-24

King James Version

21 And all flesh died that moved upon the earth,

both of fowl,

and of cattle,

and of beast,

and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth,

and every man:

22 All in whose nostrils was the breath of life,

of all that was in the dry land,

died.

23 And every living substance was destroyed

which was upon the face of the ground,

both man,

and cattle,

and the creeping things,

and the fowl of the heaven;

and they were destroyed from the earth

and Noah only remained alive,

and they that were with him in the ark.

24 And the waters prevailed upon the earth

an hundred and fifty days.

If GOD doesn't spare those He love, how can any be spared?

Only by believing JESUS, can we be saved.

Acts 4:12

King James Version

12 Neither is there salvation in any other:

for there is none other name under heaven given among men,

whereby we must be saved.

Only by believing in JESUS, can we have eternal life.

John 3:16

King James Version

16 For God so loved the world,

that he gave his only begotten Son,

that whosoever believeth in him should not perish,

but have everlasting life.

Only THROUGH His SON, JESUS, can we do anything.

John 15:5

King James Version

5 I am the vine,

ye are the branches:

He that abideth in me,

and I in him,

the same bringeth forth much fruit:

for without me ye can do nothing.

That's why GOD commands we listen to JESUS.

Matthew 17:5

King James Version

5 While he yet spake,

behold,

a bright cloud overshadowed them:

and behold a voice out of the cloud,

which said,

This is my beloved Son,

in whom I am well pleased;

hear ye him.

As we should, for JESUS was given all of GOD's POWER.

Matthew 28:18

King James Version

18 And Jesus came and spake unto them,

saying,

All power is given unto me

in heaven and in earth.

Bible DISCOVERY 4: The GOD of RAIN

It may be a small thing for others, maybe even mundane, but for me it was important when I read something very telling, on the second chapter of Genesis.

In fact, I got all excited.

Here's what I found:

There was NO rain when God created earth!

5 And every plant of the field before it was in the earth,

and every herb of the field before it grew:

for the Lord God had not caused it to rain upon the earth

and there was not a man to till the ground.

6 But there went up a mist from the earth,

and watered the whole face of the ground.

Genesis 2:5-6

King James Version

Moisture was from a "mist" that came up FROM the earth.

I really found that fascinating.

Can you imagine a world without rain, and yet there was enough moisture around -- with the world pretty much taking care of itself?

But, of course, that all changed when Adam and Eve sinned against God.

God curses the ground because of Adam's disobedience.

17 And unto Adam he said,

Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife,

and hast eaten of the tree,

of which I commanded thee,

saying,

Thou shalt not eat of it:

cursed is the ground for thy sake;

in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;

18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee;

and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;

19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread,

till thou return unto the ground;

for out of it wast thou taken:

for dust thou art,

and unto dust shalt thou return.

Genesis 3:17-19

King James Version

Where before, there was not a "man to till the ground", now Adam was tasked to do just that after the fall from grace.

Adam will now till the ground.

22 And the Lord God said,

Behold,

the man is become as one of us,

to know good and evil:

and now,

lest he put forth his hand,

and take also of the tree of life,

and eat,

and live for ever:

23 Therefore the Lord God sent him forth

from the garden of Eden,

to till the ground from whence he was taken.

Genesis 3:22-23

King James Version

Perhaps, now that Adam was to till the ground, there would be rain after he was asked to leave Eden?

But this much I know, God made it rain 40 days and 40 nights in the time of His faithful NOAH.

This was mentioned in an earlier article, but here's the verse that testifies to it.

God made it rain 40 days and 40 nights.

4 For yet seven days,

and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights

and every living substance that I have made

will I destroy from off the face of the earth.

Genesis 7:4

King James Version

Here's how rain was described here.

The "windows of heaven were opened".

11 In the six hundredth year of Noah's life,

in the second month,

the seventeenth day of the month,

the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up,

and the windows of heaven were opened.

12 And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights.

Genesis 7:11-12

King James Version

If you want to know how high the water was, here's the verse:

All the high hills and mountains were covered.

19 And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth;

and all the high hills,

that were under the whole heaven,

were covered.

20 Fifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail;

and the mountains were covered.

Genesis 7:19-20

King James Version

Why did God make the water so high?

There were giants in those days.

4 There were giants in the earth in those days

and also after that,

when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men,

and they bare children to them,

the same became mighty men which were of old,

men of renown.

5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth,

and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart

was only evil continually.

Genesis 6:4-5

King James Version

Apart from Noah, his three sons, their wives, his wife, and the animals that God asked to be included in the ark, all men and animals on earth perished from the flood.

God is really the ONLY power there is.

Look what He did here:

The day the rains stopped.

8 And God remembered Noah,

and every living thing,

and all the cattle that was with him in the ark:

and God made a wind to pass over the earth,

and the waters assuaged;

2 The fountains also of the deep

and the windows of heaven were stopped,

and the rain from heaven was restrained;

3 And the waters returned from off the earth continually:

and after the end of the hundred and fifty days

the waters were abated.

Genesis 8:1-3

King James Version

Noah then made an altar, and God was pleased with Noah's burnt offerings, and made a promise in His heart:

The vow.

21 And the Lord smelled a sweet savour;

and the Lord said in his heart,

I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake;

for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth;

neither will I again smite any more every thing living,

as I have done.

Genesis 8:21

King James Version

God abhors idolatry, disobedience, and wickedness, but He doesn't play favorites, just so you know.

God's rain falls on everyone.

44 But I say unto you,

Love your enemies,

bless them that curse you,

do good to them that hate you,

and pray for them which despitefully use you,

and persecute you;

45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven:

for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good,

and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

Matthew 5:44-45

King James Version

As you have seen, God is really the one, true GOD of RAIN.

The Creator holds ALL power over man, earth, and Heaven.

How MAGNIFICENT the LORD is!

God Asks Noah to Build an ARK

God repented that He ever made man, and this is how it happened.

The wickedness of man was great.

4 There were giants in the earth in those days;

and also after that,

when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men,

and they bare children to them,

the same became mighty men which were of old,

men of renown.

5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth,

and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart

was only evil continually.

6 And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth,

and it grieved him at his heart.

7 And the Lord said,

I will destroy man

whom I have created from the face of the earth;

both man,

and beast,

and the creeping thing,

and the fowls of the air;

for it repenteth me that I have made them.

Genesis 6:4-7

King James Version

The earth had become corrupt and violent.

11 The earth also was corrupt before God,

and the earth was filled with violence.

12 And God looked upon the earth,

and, behold,

it was corrupt;

for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.

Genesis 6:11-12

King James Version

Fortunately, there was a just and perfect man called NOAH.

8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.

9 These are the generations of Noah:

Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations,

and Noah walked with God.

Genesis 6:8-9

King James Version

God asks Noah to build an ark, for He intends to destroy man, who has caused violence to exist upon the earth.

13 And God said unto Noah,

The end of all flesh is come before me

for the earth is filled with violence through them;

and, behold,

I will destroy them with the earth.

14 Make thee an ark of gopher wood

rooms shalt thou make in the ark,

and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.

Genesis 6:13-14

King James Version

17 And, behold,

I,

even I,

do bring a flood of waters upon the earth,

to destroy all flesh

wherein is the breath of life,

from under heaven;

and every thing that is in the earth shall die.

Genesis 6:17

King James Version

And God proceeds to assure Noah of a covenant, protecting his faithful one, along with his three sons (Shem, Ham, and Japheth), Noah's wife, and his sons' wives.

The large ark was large enough to carry what God wanted included -- a pair (male and female) of all living flesh, fowls, cattle, every creeping thing, food for all on board, and all other instructions the Lord gave Noah.

It rained for 40 days, and 40 nights.

After which, the water prevailed for another 150 days.

23 And every living substance was destroyed

which was upon the face of the ground,

both man,

and cattle,

and the creeping things,

and the fowl of the heaven;

and they were destroyed from the earth:

and Noah only remained alive,

and they that were with him in the ark.

24 And the waters prevailed upon the earth

an hundred and fifty days.

Genesis 7:23-24

King James Version

Noah was 600 years old when the flood started.

It took a year for the water to dry up from off the earth.

13 And it came to pass in the six hundredth and first year,

in the first month,

the first day of the month,

the waters were dried up from off the earth

and Noah removed the covering of the ark,

and looked,

and, behold,

the face of the ground was dry.

14 And in the second month,

on the seven and twentieth day of the month,

was the earth dried.

Genesis 8:13-14

King James Version

In gratitude, Noah builds an altar with burnt offerings, pleasing the LORD.

20 And Noah builded an altar unto the Lord;

and took of every clean beast,

and of every clean fowl,

and offered burnt offerings on the altar.

21 And the Lord smelled a sweet savour;

and the Lord said in his heart,

I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake

for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth;

neither will I again smite any more every thing living,

as I have done.

22 While the earth remaineth,

seedtime and harvest,

and cold and heat,

and summer and winter,

and day and night shall not cease.

Genesis 8:20-22

King James Version

And God establishes a beautiful covenant with Noah and his sons, which can be read here in full.

What's striking is that God promises not to destroy the earth again with a flood.

11 And I will establish my covenant with you,

neither shall all flesh be cut off any more

by the waters of a flood;

neither shall there any more be a flood

to destroy the earth.

Genesis 9:11

King James Version
